I'm Bobby
My Story
I provide financial advice to people I care about. After spending more than a decade working in the wealth management divisions of TD and RBC, I joined Designed Securities and started my independent wealth management practice. I completed a Master of Business Administration concentrating in Change Management from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance from St. Mary's University.
Lifelong learning is one of my values. I have completed the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner designations, 2 of the most difficult to achieve and respected designations in the financial industry. I also hold the Certified Financial Counselor designation, becoming the first independent board chair of the Canadian Association for Financial Empowerment to hold the designation.
Being an active member of the community is important to me. I am a proud Rotarian, President of Durham Region Toastmasters, and am the chair of the board of directors of Durham Community Foundation. I have previously served as a Director for Canadian Association of Financial Empowerment, Downtown Whitby Business Improvement Area, and Station Gallery.
In my free time I create art to raise funds for charity, listen to music, read, mountain bike, play hockey, and practice yoga.
